Brahalish ringfort

Like a little green Mohican haircut, this little ring fort lies atop a small hill. Two large stones mark the entrance to the site and then it's a short walk through undulating pasture to the fort. There are entrances to the north and south and a substantial earthen bank remains now topped with gorse and bracken. It's elliptical in shape following the contours of the hill. several other ringforts are in this townland.  There are fine views out to the sea  and the hills make a natural amphitheatre to the rear of it.

There are several other forts in the vicinity.
